The basic rules

  • Each round has one catcher and one or more dodgers.
  • The catcher fires four numbers out of 1–8.
  • Each dodger picks one number to survive with.
  • Once everyone has chosen, all picks are revealed at once. If your number is in the attack you are hit; if not, you dodged.
  • Nobody can see anyone else’s pick while choosing — not even the person who made the room.

Scoring

  • The catcher scores one point for every dodger hit.
  • A dodger who survives the round scores one point.
  • When the rounds run out, the higher score wins. Match length is 3, 5 or 7 rounds.

Room rules you can set

  • No all-odd / all-even — blocks attacks like 1·3·5·7.
  • No four in a row — blocks attacks like 1·2·3·4.
  • Time limit — 10, 20 or 30 seconds; miss it and you lose the round.
  • Rotate the attacker — every round, or after every match.
  • Computer attacks — no human catcher; everyone dodges.

Survival mode — pick who loses

  • Get hit and you are out. Play continues until only the target number of players remain.
  • That makes it a natural way to decide who pays, who goes first, or who does the chore.
  • Unlike a wheel or a coin flip, the outcome comes from reading people rather than luck — the loser can live with it.
  • Turn on "one player per number" and everyone who picked the same number goes out together. Now you dodge the attack *and* the crowd.

Playing with friends

  • Make a room and you get a four-letter code and an invite link.
  • Anyone with the link joins with no sign-up and no install — they just pick a nickname.
  • You can also just read the code out loud. Four letters is all it takes.
  • Up to 8 people in one room.

Good for

  • Deciding who buys the next round
  • Picking presentation order or who cleans up
  • A quick classroom activity
  • A video call, with everyone on their own phone
